Roadmap

Now, next and later

What we are working on, what comes after it, and what is further out. This is directional, not a promise. Priorities shift when we learn something, and we would rather be honest about that than publish a timeline we cannot keep.
Now
  • Honest notes quality

Every worth-it, optional and skip tag needs to earn it, in a specific voice, not a brochure's. This is ongoing work: improving the prompts, expanding the evaluation set, and reviewing what the model produces across more destinations.

  • Adapt engine

Rebuilding a single day in plain words is live. We are tightening it: the rebuilt day should feel like it belongs in the same trip, not like a freshly generated plan dropped into the middle of an existing one.

  • Core planning accuracy

Walkability, pacing, and the match between your brief and the plan that comes back. This is not a feature. It is the baseline, and it is the thing we measure every change against before it ships.

  • Offline PDF export

Export any trip as a clean, printable itinerary to carry without a signal. Available on Traveler and Voyager.

Next
  • Multi-city polish

Multi-city routes on Voyager are live but the transitions between cities need more work: the pacing across the whole journey, how the last day of one city sets up the first day of the next, and what to do when the train or flight is in the middle of a travel day.

  • Saved places

A place you mention in a tweak should be saveable to use in a future trip. Your preferences should carry forward between trips rather than starting from zero every time.

  • Per-day pace control

Set the pace for the whole trip today. Soon you will be able to set it per day, so a slow day at the start of the trip does not mean every day is slow.

  • More destinations, better notes

The honest notes are only as good as the destinations they cover. We are building coverage and depth, starting with the places where the plans are good but the notes are too generic.

Later
  • Collaborative planning

Plan a trip with the people you are traveling with. Everyone's preferences go in, and the plan reflects all of them. This is a hard design problem and we are not starting it until the single-person planning is as good as it can be.

  • Bookings handoff

Wander designs the trip. The reservation, the ticket and the booking are yours to make. A future version may hand off to a booking partner at the moment you decide to act on a recommendation, without taking a cut of the transaction or influencing what is recommended.

  • Real-time checking

Connecting to a destination's live data: opening hours, closures, current wait times. This makes the plan more reliable on the day. It also makes it more complex to build, and we will not do it until we are sure the base plan is solid enough to justify the complexity.

  • Group travel

Planning a trip for a group where not everyone likes the same things is a different problem from planning one for yourself. We are thinking about it. It is further out.

This page is updated when something moves. If you want something on this list or want to say what is most important to you, tell us. Most of what ships started as a traveler saying something was missing.
