Someone opens Wander to feel the shape of their trip. They should sense the pacing, the clusters and the honest notes within a few seconds, on a laptop and a phone, without reading a wall of text.

That is a genuinely hard design problem: a day-by-day timeline, mapped clusters, worth-it and skip notes, and a way to tweak a day and watch it rebuild, all kept calm and editorial rather than busy.

What you would own

  • Own the itinerary screen, the new-trip flow and the trips list, end to end.
  • Design the timeline: a clear day, walkable clusters, notes that read at a glance.
  • Keep the visual system honest: hairlines and air, warm ivory, one terracotta, a soft sky.
  • Sit in on traveler interviews. The person who watches someone plan should be the person who designs it.

What we are looking for

  • Five or more years designing software people use to make a decision, not to browse.
  • A portfolio with at least one dense, content-rich screen you are proud of.
  • You build your own prototypes, in code or close to it.
  • You have a view about typography and can defend it.

How hiring runs

A thirty-minute call with a founder, then a paid work session on a real problem from our backlog (three to four hours), then two conversations with people you would work alongside. Four steps, usually inside two weeks. We tell you where you stand at every one, and we reply either way.
